Ever dreamed of sitting in the cockpit of a vintage plane? Queensland Air Museum are holding an ‘Open Cockpit Weekend’ these coming school holidays on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July.
Several aircraft will have their cockpits open for public inspection, visitors to the event will have the chance to sit in the cockpits of selected aircraft including the iconic F-111, WESSEX, DC3, and Starship.
The 2017 Open Cockpit Weekend at Queensland Air Museum will also feature:
- ‘Planes’ Fire & Rescue Jumping Castle, free for kids.
- Star War characters
- Airport flight line display of vintage aircraft
- Sausage sizzle, plus other food options and a coffee van
- Memorabilia on sale in the shop (10% discount with family pass)
- Classic car displays
Entry costs: $15 Adults, $8 Children $35 Family Pass, Concession/student $10. The event will operate from: 9am to 4pm on the weekend of 1st-2nd July.
